Story

Once upon a time, there was a quaint little village surrounded on all sides by a great wall. Along its perimeter rose six towers that were tall enough to reach the heavens and were rumored to have been there since the beginning of time itself. But alas, there was a seventh tower - one that brought the most attention as it was located in the very center of the town. This one was a beautiful clock tower that chimed every hour on the hour. Its gears never stuck and the rocks that made up the fortification seemed impervious to weathering. But despite the angelic tune that played when the long hand reached the next hour, it was followed by a somewhat haunting melody.

 Yet the clock tower was so impressive that the villagers decided to build a learning institution around it, taking into careful consideration the school's size during the planning stages as to ensure that it would be large enough to hold all of the future children that would study within its walls. Neighborhoods were carefully planned out, its French-architect inspired houses close enough to the school to make for an easy commute, and specialized stores nearby to make life easier for its residents.

 Wanting to keep nature an intricate part of their lives, the villagers designed the school's courtyard to be constructed in front of the woods. Many tree houses have been crafted in the larger trees, making it a fun place to play after school when the sun is still shining brightly through the branches. And deeper yet is a crystal clear spring. The lumber to create the houses and the water to harvest most of the town's energy comes from this area.

 While it may appear unconventional to many, the villagers take great pride in their town and it is shown in their day-to-day activities and upkeep. The village was almost like a utopia, with educated masses and no unemployment. Everyone was happy.

But every village has its own legends, ghost stories, fairy tales, or what have you, and this one was no exception.

You now find yourself here, part of this unfolding story. Some people say you have been here all along, your mind beckoned by the chimes of the clock tower, yet you know better. However, you find yourself overcome by an overwhelming sensation to stay and start your own tale within the walls of the village.

And if for some reason you do decide to leave, you find yourself stuck. The village itself is like a warped maze, with no apparent way to get in or out. You have no choice but to try to find out the mysteries of the village or be forced to stay forever
